BIKA
Referencing both the typology of the enclosed village - where individual huts are organised inside a circular enclosure according to role and status - this project for a medical analysis laboratory aims to meet hygiene standards of a medical building without resorting to the grid plan. Using rammed earth as a construction material to increase inertia and avoiding direct sunlight, each programme is organised within a circular space of the required size. Together, these spaces form a medical ecosystem reminsicent of a cell.
